Apple Health: Nutrition

You can sync nutrition data from Apple Health to your Apotheo check-ins. This is useful if you use a nutrition tracking app that writes to Apple Health, such as MacroFactor, Lose It!, or any other app that syncs nutrition data to Apple Health.

How to Connect

  1. Open the Apotheo iOS app
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations
  3. Under Apple Health, enable Nutrition
  4. When prompted, allow Apotheo to read nutrition data from Apple Health

Your nutrition data will sync when you open the Check-In section in the app.

What Data Syncs

  • Calories
  • Protein, Carbohydrates, Fat, Fiber
  • Sodium, Potassium, Alcohol

The data comes from whatever app you use to log food into Apple Health.

Requirements

  • You must use the Apotheo iOS app — Apple Health data won't sync from a web browser
  • Your nutrition tracking app must be set to write data to Apple Health

Things to Know

  • Syncing nutrition from Apple Health counts as your nutrition tracker — you won't be able to connect another nutrition app (like Cronometer or MyFitnessPal) at the same time
  • Data syncs when you open the Check-In section in the Apotheo app
  • Make sure you log your food before submitting your check-in so the latest data is available in Apple Health
