# Skipping Check-Ins

Clients can submit their check-in on or after the due date. If a client can't submit theirs — or if you don't allow late check-ins — you can skip it manually, or configure Apotheo to skip overdue check-ins automatically.

## Skipping a Check-In Manually

To skip a client's overdue check-in:

1. Go to the **Client List**
2. Find the client with the overdue check-in
3. Click the **three-dot menu** (⋮) in the Actions column
4. Select **Skip Update**

The client's next check-in will be scheduled automatically based on their service frequency.

## Automatically Skipping Late Check-Ins

Apotheo can automatically skip overdue check-ins after a set number of days. You can also allow clients to skip their own check-ins.

To configure these settings, go to **Settings > Check-In Settings**:

- **Auto-skip overdue check-ins** — when enabled, overdue check-ins are automatically skipped after the number of days you set
- **Auto-skip after X days** — the number of days to wait before an overdue check-in is skipped
- **Allow clients to skip check-ins** — when enabled, clients can skip their own check-in from their dashboard
- **Skipped check-in limit** — the number of consecutive check-ins a client can skip (-1 means unlimited)
