# Connecting Apple Health

Apple Health connects to Apotheo through the iOS app, syncing data from your Apple Watch and other apps that write to Apple Health. There are three categories you can enable independently:

- **Nutrition** — sync nutrition data from apps like MacroFactor or Lose It! See [Apple Health: Nutrition](https://help.apotheo.com/en/article/apple-health-nutrition-b2g2ya/) for details.
- **Activity, Wellness & Weight** — sync steps, sleep, heart rate, weight, and more from your Apple Watch or other devices. See [Apple Health: Activity, Wellness & Weight](https://help.apotheo.com/en/article/apple-health-activity-wellness-weight-ievfy8/) for details.
- **Cycle Tracking** — sync menstrual cycle data (see below).

## How to Connect

1. Open the **Apotheo iOS app**
2. Go to **Settings > Integrations**
3. Under **Apple Health**, enable the categories you want to sync
4. When prompted, allow Apotheo to read the requested data from Apple Health

Data syncs when you open the Check-In section in the app.

## Cycle Tracking

You can sync menstrual cycle tracking data from Apple Health. This data is added to Apple Health via the Apple Watch cycle tracking feature or apps like Flo, Natural Cycles, or other cycle tracking apps.

### What Data Syncs

- Menstrual flow data
- Symptoms

### Where the Data Comes From

As long as your cycle tracking app writes data to Apple Health, Apotheo can read it. Common apps include:

- **Apple Watch** — built-in cycle tracking
- **Flo** — period and ovulation tracker
- **Clue** — period and cycle tracker
- **Cycles** — fertility and cycle tracking

### How to Enable

1. Open the **Apotheo iOS app**
2. Go to **Settings > Integrations**
3. Under **Apple Health**, enable **Cycle Tracking**

This data helps your coach understand how your cycle may affect your training, nutrition, and recovery.

## Requirements

- You must use the **Apotheo iOS app** — Apple Health is not available on Android or via web browser
- Each Apple Health category can be enabled or disabled independently

## Troubleshooting

If Apple Health data isn't syncing, see the troubleshooting section in [Apple Health: Activity, Wellness & Weight](https://help.apotheo.com/en/article/apple-health-activity-wellness-weight-ievfy8/) — the same steps apply to all Apple Health categories.
